As a first-generation immigrant mom and a teacher in U.S. schools, I know how much there is to navigate. I started Refresh Kid to help parents feel informed and children feel supported—with room for what they enjoy.

I didn’t always know what to ask, or what my children needed in the U.S. school system. Working as a teacher helped me understand MAP scores, competitions, AP choices, SAT and ACT preparation, volunteering and college applications.

But a child is more than a résumé. Their interests, confidence and enjoyment matter too. I want families to find a next step without every conversation becoming another source of pressure.

Can we use one package for different subjects?

Yes. You can purchase 10 or 20 tutoring hours and use them across subjects—for example, AP Physics, AP Calculus and SAT preparation. There are no contracts. We’ll discuss the subject mix, teacher availability, package price, validity and scheduling terms before you purchase. College admissions guidance is quoted separately.

What happens when I fill in the form?

This form starts a conversation. Our team will contact you to discuss your child’s needs and suitable support. If you’re exploring tutoring, we can discuss a free assessment and confirm its format and time. Submitting the form does not automatically book a lesson or enrol you in a paid programme.

Who will teach my child?

Refresh Kid offers support from experienced U.S. school teachers. We’ll discuss a suitable teacher for your child’s subject and level, including relevant AP teaching experience where needed. Teacher matching and scheduling depend on availability.

What if I’m not sure where my child needs help?

Choose “Not sure yet” in the form. Bring a recent assignment, a question from school or your observations to the conversation. We can discuss a useful starting point together.

Are lessons online and one-to-one?

Our tutoring is live, online and one-to-one. We also offer college admissions guidance. We’ll confirm the format, availability, technology needs and schedule for the support you choose.

Can you guarantee a grade or test score?

No. We can offer teaching, practice and feedback. Results also depend on starting skills, attendance, independent work and other factors. We’ll discuss realistic goals with you.

What happens to my contact information?

Your enquiry is intended for our Refresh Kid portal so the team can respond and coordinate your next steps. We ask for a first name so we can coordinate your enquiry. We don’t need a student’s full name, school, date of birth or school records here. See our privacy policy for more information.
